Geostatistical methods applied to soil fertility zoning

In conventional agricultural production systems, soil management is generally carried out without considering the spatial variability of its properties. This situation generates not only degradation but also an increase in costs associated with this factor. The objective research was to evaluate, through geostatistical methods, fertility Botana Experimental Farm Universidad de Nariño. Spatial maps were estimated using ArcGIS 10 program, Kriging interpolation method, and optimal ranges for Andean region as projection parameters making decisions related land use. zoning farm established, classifying having high, medium, low fertility. Most experimental had soils (20.7ha), 3ha good conditions. Statistical analysis indicated a high chemical Properties such pH bulk density showed variability.
